Hynek was born in 1444.  Hynek's father was Jan "Ješek" Pòovický ze Sovince and his mother is Anežka Brtnická z Valdštejna.  His paternal grandfather was Pavlík Sovince, ze and his paternal grandmother is Kateøina Kunštátu, z; his maternal grandfather was Hynek Brtnický z Valdštejna. He had two brothers named Jindøich and Jan.  He died at the age of 27 in 1471.
