Bohuslav's father was Jan Diviš Hostaèovský z Petrovic and his mother was Anežka Horòatecká z Dobroèovic.  His paternal grandparents are Diviš Hostaèovský z Petrovic and Anna Baderská z Oujezda; his maternal grandparents were Bohuslav IV. mladší Horòatecký z Dobroèovic and Apolena Mraèská z Dubé.  He was an only child.  He died in 1633 in Kolín.
