Joana Alvares Pereira de Melo

Joana was born in 1687. Joana's father was Nuno II. Alvarez Melo, de and her mother was Marguerite Harcourt-Armagnac, d'. Her paternal grandparents were Francisco II. Melo, de and Juana Pimentel; her maternal grandparents were Louis I. Harcourt-Armagnac, d' and Catherine Neufville de Villeroy, de. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Francisco, Luiz Ambrosio, Jayme I., Alvaro, Rodrigo, Catarina, Anne, Eugenia Rosa and Filippa Angelina. She was the eighth oldest of the ten children. She had three half-brothers and two half-sisters, named son, son, Francisco, Joana and Isabella Henriquetta. She died at the age of 53 in 1740.
