Leopold Felix Leonhard was born on November 15th, 1797 in Praha.  Leopold Felix Leonhard's father was Antonín de Paula Josef Adalbert Thun-Hohenstein and his mother was Terezie Vratislavová z Mitrovic.  His paternal grandfather was Jan Josef František Thun-Hohenstein and his paternal grandmother is Maria Elisabeth Kolonitsch; his maternal grandparents are Jan Nepomuk Vít Vratislav z Mitrovic and Marie Anna Malowtzová z Malowitz a Kosoøe. He had a brother and four sisters, named Jan Arnošt, Elisabeth, Johanna Nepomucena, Maria and Františka Romana.  He was the second youngest of the six children.  He died at the age of 79 on April 10th, 1877 in Praha.
