Edward "The Confessor" was born in 1002 in Islip, Oxfordshire, England.  Edward "The Confessor"'s father was Ethelred II. "The Unready" Saxon and his mother was Emma Normandy, de.  His paternal grandparents were Edgar "The Peaceful" Saxon and Elfrida Devon, of; his maternal grandfather was Richard I. "The Fearless" Normandy, de and his maternal grandmother is Gunnor Danemark, de. He had a brother and a sister, named Alfred Athling and Goda. He had eight half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Edmund II. "Ironside", Athelstan, Egbert, Edred, Edwy, Edward, Edgar, Hardicanute, Edith, Elgiva, Wulfhilda, Daughter and Gunhild "Kunigunde".  He died at the age of 64 on January 5th, 1066.  He was buried on January 6th, 1066 in Westminster, Abbey, London, England.
