Katharina was born in 1584. Katharina's father was Rene Nassau-Corroy, de and her mother was Catherine Namur, de. Her paternal grandparents were Alexis Nassau-Corroy, de and Wilhelmina Bronckhorst, von. She had a brother and five sisters, named Alexis, Willemina, Jeanne, Anna, Marie and Margareta. She was the second youngest of the seven children. She died at the age of 44 in 1628.
