Ferdinand Karel's father was Jan Oldøich Malovec z Chýnova and his mother is Polyxena Anežka Markvartická z Hrádku.  His paternal grandfather was Zdenìk Malovec z Chýnova and his paternal grandmother is Kateøina Kotzová z Dobrze. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Václav Jindøich, Petr, Alžbìta, Františka, Markéta Ludmila, Kateøina and Ludmila.  He died in 1655.
