Afra "Kateøina"'s father was Václav Malovec z Chýnova and her mother is Anna Oselská z Dlouhé Vsi.  Her paternal grandfather was Jan Malovec z Chýnova and her paternal grandmother is Voršila Koøenská z Terešova. She had five brothers and two sisters, named Zdenìk, Petr, Jindøich, Jan, Oldøich, Anna and Napka.  She died in 1619.
