Rudolf was born on March 31st, 1854 in Ischl.  Rudolf's father was Eugen Kinský z Vchynic a Tetova and his mother was Marie Zauner.  His paternal grandfather was František de Paola Josef Kinský z Vchynic and his paternal grandmother is Terezie Vrbna, z. He had three brothers and four sisters, named František, Eugen, Karel, Marie, Terezie, Anna and Elisabeth.  He was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 67 on May 25th, 1921 in Kaltenleutgeben bei Wien.
