Zikmund mladší was born in 1566.  Zikmund mladší's father was Jiøík starší "Václav" Dobrzenský z Dobrzenicz and his mother was Markéta Jestøibská z Riesenburka.  His paternal grandfather was Jan IX. Dobrzenský z Dobrzenicz and his paternal grandmother is Magdalena Chvalkovská z Hustíøan. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Jan XI. starší, Mikuláš VIII., Zdenìk V., Bernard III., Hertvik starší, Hertvik mladší, Magdalena and Anna. He had a half-sister named Eliška.  He died at the age of 42 in 1608 in Øíkov, zabit.  He was buried in Velký Tøebešov.
