Rosa Maria was born in 1691 in Madrid. Rosa Maria's father was Salvador Francisco Castro de Portugal, de and her mother was Francisca Centurione Cordova, de. Her paternal grandparents were Pedro III. Antonio Castro de Portugal, de and Anna Francisca de Borja y Centellas Doria y Colonna. She had two sisters named Maria Antonia and Rafaela. She was the second oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 81 in 1772 in Madrid. She was buried in Loreto.
