Jan František was born on February 2nd, 1876 in Penzing bei Wien.  Jan František's father was František Bubna, z and his mother was Laura Schubert. He had two brothers and a sister, named Egon, Otokar and Marie.  He was the second oldest of the four children.  He died at the age of 51 in 1927.
