Joseph was born on June 14th, 1806 in Roma.  Joseph's father was Lucien Bonaparte and his mother was Alexandrine Bleschamp.  His paternal grandparents were Carlo Maria Buonaparte and Maria Laetitia Ramolino; his maternal grandparents are Charles Bleschamp and Philiberte Bouvet. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Charles Lucien, Paul, Lucien, Pierre, Antoine, Laetitia, Jeanne, Alexandrine and Constance.  He was the third oldest of the ten children. He had three half-sisters named Charlotte, Victoire and Christine.  He died at the age of 1 on August 15th, 1807 in Roma.
