Oskar was born on August 24th, 1827 in Maršov. Oskar's father was Alfons Gabriel Aichelburg, von und zu and his mother was Josefa Sophia Sidonia Schaffgotsch, von. His paternal grandparents were Maria Franz Josef Anton Aichelburg, von and Franziska Maria Porcia; his maternal grandparents are Jan Josef Schaffgotsch, von and Jana Antonie Studnièková. He had two brothers named Maria Berthold and Maria Arthur. He was the second oldest of the three children. He had nine half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Alfred, Alfons, Kamil, Maria Vladimír Leodegar Vincenc Anton Josef Karl, Maria Zdenko, Bohuslav, Maria Ottokar, Maria Alfons, Maria Antonín Theodor, Pauline and Maria. He died at the age of 34 on October 31st, 1861 in Pest.
