Nanda Kumar  was born in 1948.  Nanda Kumar 's father was Venkata Ramana Rao (s/o Laxmaiah Naidu, Kakinada. Nagula Gothram) Vallamshetty and his mother was Narayanamma (Sajjala) Vallamshetty.  His maternal grandparents were Venkataswamy Sajjala and Manikyamma (d/o Chodagam Brahmaiah, Ponnur) Sajjala. He had four brothers and a sister, named Prabhaker, Sudhaker, Karunaker, Kamalaker and Papa (Prashantha/ Nirmala/ Vasundhara).  He was the youngest of the six children.  He died in an accident or as a result of an injury at the age of 60 on July 8th, 2008.
