Rajani (Sajjala) was born in 1971.  Rajani (Sajjala)'s father is Ramakrishna Sajjala and her mother is Hemavalli Devi Sajjala.  Her paternal grandparents were Bhavanarayana  Rao Sajjala and Alivelumanga Thayaramma (Naraala) Sajjala. She has two brothers and three sisters, named Raja, Ravi, Rani (Sajjala), Radhaparvathi (Sajjala) and Rama (Sajjala).  She is the fourth oldest of the six children.
