Theobald III was born in 1012.  Theobald III's father was Odo II (Count of Blois) and his mother was Ermengarde of Auvergne.  His paternal grandparents were Odo I (Count of Blois) and Bertha of Burgundy. He had a brother named Stephen II.  He died at the age of 77 in 1089.
