Alan was born in 1880.  Alan's father was Henry Percy (7th Duke of Northum-berland) and his mother was Lady Edith Campbell.  His paternal grandparents were Algernon Percy (6th Duke of Northum-berland) and Louisa Drummond.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 50 in 1930.
