Diarmait was born in 1110.  Diarmait's father was Donnchad mac Murchada (King of Leinster) and his mother was Orlaith ingen O'Braenain.  His paternal grandparents were Murchad mac Diarmata (King of Leinster, Dublin & the Isles) and ???.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 61 in 1171.
