Thomas Kirkpatrick (Mayor of Kingston) 
Thomas was born in 1805. Thomas' father was Lt. Alexander Kirkpatrick and his mother was Mary Anne Sutton. His paternal grandparents were Alexander Kirkpatrick and Elizabeth Henderson. He had a brother named Stafford. He was the older of the two children. He died at the age of 65 in 1870.General Notes

Thomas was born in Clonsilla , Ireland in 1807 and moved to Upper Canada in 1823. He studied law with Christopher Alexander Hagerman and was called to the bar in 1828. He practiced law at Kingston where he was also customs collector. In 1838, he was elected as the first mayor of Kingston, but was later disqualified because he was not a resident at the time; in 1847, he was elected mayor again.
