Mary's father was Henry D'Oyly (of Lincoln's Inn; Wallingford Castle) and her mother was Dorothy Townshend. Her paternal grandparents were John D'Oyly (Sr.) and Frances Edmonds. She had a brother named Robert.General Notes
Mary D'Oyly, married to Thomas Williams, Esq. of Oxford, descended from the Williams's of Dorsetshire, whose pedigree and arms were recorded at the Oxfordshire visitation in 1634, the latter being, "Argent, a greyhound courant sable, between three popinjays proper, all within a border engrailed, gules, crusuly patée or." By him she had nine children,
