Carloman I was born in 0751.  Carloman I's father was Pepin “The Short” (King of the Franks; Emperor) and his mother was Bertrada of Laon.  His paternal grandfather was 11 generations to Decimus Rusticus. He had a brother named Charlemagne.  He was the younger of the two children.  He died at the age of 20 in 0771.
