Geno J Yacovone

Geno was born in 1937. Geno's father was Sabatino Iacovone and his mother is Giovina Gagliarducci (Yacovone). His paternal grandparents were Angelo Iacovone and (Iacovone). He had a brother and a sister, named Henry and Eleanor. He died at the age of 75 on March 11th, 2012.

- Geno J. Yacovone 1937 - 2012 FEEDING HILLS Geno J. Yacovone, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 11, 2012 at home. Born in Springfield, son of the late Sabatino and Giovina (Gagliarducci) Yacovone, he later moved to Agawam where he owned and operated a successful excavating business. Having a passion for ice hockey, he became a coach for Agawam youth hockey. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and discussing politics over a cup of coffee. He is survived by a daughter and her husband, Lynda and Tom Dowd of Ludlow and their children, Tyler and Trevor, a son and his fiance, Marc Yacovone and Stephanie Leahy of Westfield, a sister, Eleanor Martinelli, two nieces, Rosemary Yacovone, Thea Tomaine, a nephew, Richard Yacovone, and a good friend, Robert Mercadante. He was predeceased by a brother, Henry Yacovone. The funeral will be Thursday at 11am at Agawam Funeral Home, 184 Main Street with burial in Springfield Street Cemetery. Calling hours will precede the service from 9:30-11am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, Box 417005, Boston, MA 02241-7005
