William Spooner

William was born in 1654 in Plymouth, MA. William's father was William Spooner and his mother was Hannah Pratt (Spooner). His paternal grandparents were John Spooner and Anna Peck (Spooner); his maternal grandparents are Joshua Pratt and Bathsheba Fay (Pratt). He had three brothers and four sisters, named Isaac, Samuel, Ebenezer, Sarah, Martha, Hannah and Mercy. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother named John. He died at the age of 81 on October 27th, 1735 in Plymouth, MA.

General Notes
- William Spooner was a farmer, lived to the north of the village of Acushnet. The traditional site of his residence, as pointed out a few years since, was marked by the ruins of the foundation of a house. He served in the militia with the rank of Lieutenant; was frequently chosen to town offices; and, with his wife, was a member of Rochester Church.
