Matthew was born on October 2nd, 1930.  Matthew's father was Patrick Francis Ashe and his mother was Hazel Bronk (Ashe).  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Ashe and Mary Hassett or Holly (Ashe). He had a brother and a sister, named William and Mary.  He died at the age of 77 on February 13th, 2008.
