Helena was born on May 2nd, 1920.  Helena's father was Johan  Jakob Krzywoń and her mother was Paulina Barbara Chowaniec.  Her paternal grandparents are Johan Krzywoń and Paulina Szpyra; her maternal grandparents are Joachim Chowaniec and Maria Günther. She had a brother and seven sisters, named Wiktor, Franciszka, Maria, Weronika, Róża , Małgorzata, Renata and Magdalena.  She died at the age of 4 in 1924.
