William Woodward

William was born in March 1848 in Little Neston and his baptism took place on February 22nd, 1849 in Neston.¹²

William's father was Isaac Woodward and his mother was Mary Whitehead. He had four brothers named James, Joseph, Isaac and John. He was the oldest of the five children.

- William Woodward may be illegitimate and baptised at Salford, or not Mary's son, as no birth registered for him at Neston, although baptised there 22 Feb 1849.
