Frank was born in December 1873 in Macclesfield.¹

Birth Notes

Frank's father was James Whitaker and his mother was Annie Elizabeth Slack. His paternal grandparents were William Whitaker and Sarah Mather. He had five brothers and a sister, named James, Walter, Charles, John, Harold and Lucy. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had a half-brother and four half-sisters, named William, Annie, Harriet, Mary and Elizabeth.
