18 April 1858 James, a Tallow of Lamb Lane Manchester, son of James Tomlinson, a weaver married Mary Ann Healey. Borth werre aged 23. Hannah Healey (sister - TBC) was a witness.
In 1851, James (16) was with his parents James and Ann (49 & 44) at 27 Lower Tebbut Street. His father was a labourer at the Candle Works. James later bacame a Tallow Chandler (a person who makes and sells candles).
In 1861, James (26) and Mary A (25) were at Manchester with Ann (1.5) and Joseph (2)
In 1871, James and Mary A (both 36) were at 31 Boardman Street, Manchester with Joseph (12), Ann (10), Willie (6), Mary J (4) and George (1).
In 1881, James and Mary Ann (46 & 45) were in Manchester with Ann (20), William (16), Mary Jane (14), Elizabeth (8) and James (5)
