John was born about 1614 in Malpas. John's father was Thomas Stockton and his mother was Thomasinam Brereton. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Richard, John, Ales and Katherine. He was the oldest of the five children. He died in November 1614 in Malpas. His burial was on November 25th, 1614 at St. Oswalds (Malpas).
