Edwin's father was Edward Smith and his mother was Mary Hodgson. He had two sisters named Catherine and Ann.  He was the youngest of the three known children.  He died at the age of 58 on January 9th, 1890 in Keighley.

• General Notes

  In 1841, Edwin was aged 9, living at Royd House with Edward and Mary Smith (his assumed parents).  Raven Royd is close to Marlow Hall.
  
  On 7 Aug 1854, Edwin son of Edward (both Stone Masons), married Judith Booth at Keighley.
  
  In 1861, Edwin and Judith (28 & 27) are at Parkes Street, Keighley. Edwin is still a Stone mason.
  
  In 1861, Another Edwin (24) and a butcher, living at 63 Bradford Street, Manchester. He was married to Elizabeth and had his "nephew" William Radcliffe (18) with him as a butcher's assistant.
