Robert was born on March 26th, 1893 in Atherton and his baptism took place on May 11th, 1893 in Tyldesley.1 2  Robert's father was George Seddon and his mother was Sarah Jane Seddon.  His paternal grandparents were Thomas Seddon and Ruth Riley; his maternal grandparents were Peter Seddon and Elizabeth Kay. He had a brother and a sister, named Frank and Louisa.  He was the oldest of the three known children.




Robert's family with Catherine Jones

‌Robert and Catherine were married in a religious ceremony in July 1917 in Tyldesley.4  They had a son and three daughters, named George, Kathleen, Janet and Joyce.  There are no more children.
