Peggy (Margaret) Riding

Peggy, known as Margaret, was born on October 4th, 1796 in Blackrod and her christening took place on October 23rd, 1796 at St. Katherine (B'rod).^1 2

Margaret's father was Joseph Riding and her mother was Molly Gorner. She had four brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, James, Bernard, Mary and Alice.  She was the fourth oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 72 in December 1868 in Sharples.³
