Ann's father was John Millington and her mother was Harriet Whitworth. Her paternal grandparents were Edward Millington and Ann Davies. She had two brothers and four sisters, named John, Peter, Harriet, Martha, Mary and Elizabeth. She was the oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 77 in February 1890 in Farnworth. Her burial was on February 20th, 1890 in Farnworth.²
