Sarah Mather

Sarah was born in 1817 in Manchester and her baptism took place on May 30th, 1819 at Manchester Cathedral.^1 2

Sarah's father was Abraham Mather and her mother was Margaret Liddle.  Her paternal grandparents were William Mather and Margaret (Peggy) Ashworth. She had a sister named Jane.  She was the younger of the two children.  She died at the age of 80 on May 23rd, 1897 in Haslingden.  She was buried on May 26th, 1897 at St. James (Haslingden).³
