Martha Mather

Martha was born in September 1850 in Bolton.¹

Martha's father was William Mather and her mother was Margaret Jones. Her paternal grandparents were Willoughby Mather and Dinah Parker. She had two brothers named James and Robert. She was the oldest of the three children.

General Notes
- There were two Martha Mather births registered in 1850. One appears to be the illegitimate daughter of Ann Mather, a servant girl. The other is this Martha, MMN = JONES. There are no Martha Mather deaths reported in Bolton for 1850 or 1851, yet there is no other Martha on the 1851 census born in 1850.
