Margaret was born in 1788 in Bolton. Margaret's father was Richard Mather and her mother was Mary Rigby. She had a brother and three sisters, named William, Ellen, Jane and Arabella.  She was the second oldest of the five children.  She died at the age of 2 in December 1790 in Bolton.  She was buried on December 26th, 1790 in Bolton.1
