Judith was born on April 29th, 1840 in Walmersley and her baptism took place on April 29th, 1840 at Christ Church, Walmersley.1  Judith's father was John J Schofield and her mother was Judith (Lucy) Mather.  Her maternal grandparents were Robert Madther and Judith (Judy) Chadwick. She had a sister named Alice. She had an adopted sister named Sarah.  Alice and Judith were twins.  She died at 2 months old in June 1840 in Walmersley.2
