Joseph was born on December 15th, 1921 in Bolton.¹

Birth Notes

Joseph's father was Richard Mather and his mother was Elizabeth Alice Holt. His paternal grandparents were Andrew Mather and Ann Lightbown. He had three brothers named Richard, John and George. He was the youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 76 in October 1998 in Bolton.²
