General Notes

26 Jan 1915, John Edmund Mather of 161 Mornington Road, Bolton joined the Loyal North Lancashire Regiment (Army), regiment number, Private 241541.

5 May 1916, J E Mather was in the Birmingham War Hospita.

10 Feb 1917, John was sent to France.  he was missing 30 Nov and became a prisoner of War PM316 at Dulmen.

31 Dec 1919, Private John Edmund Mather (repatriated prisoner 19 Nov 1918 at Dover) of 232 Oxford Grove, Bolton was demobolized as surplus to requirements, aged 32.  He was 20% disabled.  (His brother Joseph of the same address was killed).
