In 1861, John (13, Factory Worker) was with his parents and family at Old School, Turton.
In 1871, John is 21 with his mother Hannah (Head, 66, Mar). Had his father Thomas gone?
In 1874, John married Elizabeth Naylor. John's sister Hannah married Samuel Naylor in 1870, and they may be brother and sister (tbc).
In 1881, John (an under carder, born Turton) and Elizabeth (29 & 28) were living at 13 Cox Green Road, Walmsley, Turton with son Arthur (2).
In 1891 there is no record!
In 1901, John and Elizabeth (52 & 50) were living at 52 Hough Lane, Eagley with Arthur (22), Ernest (18), John (17), Annie (15) and James (11). John was a Cotton Card Loom Hand.
In 1907 the family were living at 62 Rawsthorn Street (near All Souls). Ernest and Hannah both recorded this as their address when they both married.
In 1911, John & Elizabeth (62 & 59) had son James (21) and daughter Annie Woodward (25), living at Myreh Street, Little Bolton.
In 1921, John and Elizabeth (73 & 71) were at 8 Myreh Street, Bolton with ther daughter Annie and hisband Walter and family.
John died in 1922, aged 74
