Frances (Fanny) Hathaway Mather

Frances, known as Fanny, was born in 1838 in Staffordshire.¹

  Not the Frances Hatherway Mather Baptised 25 Jun 1837 at Melton Mowbray, Leicester, as she is daughter of Francis Mather and Mary Ann who had 6 children baptised the same day (so a different family, and probably not born 1837).

Fanny's father was Rev Joseph Mather and her mother was Mary Robinson. Her paternal grandparents were Rev James Mather and Ann Speakman. She had five sisters named Deborah, Catherine, Hannah, Mary and Elizabeth. She had a foster sister named Dorothy. She died at the age of 88 on June 15th, 1926 in Cheltenham. Her burial was on June 18th, 1926 in Cheltenham.²
