Elizabeth was born in 1718 in Shaw and her baptism took place there on February 15th, 1718.1  Elizabeth's father was Petrus (Peter) Mather and her mother was Sarah Jones. She had a brother and a sister, named Peter and Sarah.  She was the second oldest of the three known children.
