Bantchel (Bridget) Mather

Bantchel, known as Bridget, was born in 1821 in Pilkington and her baptism took place on January 5th, 1823 at St. Mary (Radcliffe).^1 2

Bridget's father was James Mather and her mother was Mary Whitehead.  Her paternal grandparents were James Mather and <Unknown>. She had a brother and two sisters, named William, Phebe and Dinah.  She was the oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 64 in 1885 in Prestwich.³
