Alice Mather

Alice's father was John Mather and her mother was <unknown>. Her paternal grandparents were John Mather and Ann Knowles. She had three brothers and three sisters, named John, Nedde, Nathan, Mary, Betty and Aggie.

- Alice married a year after her brother Edward at the same church.
  
  5 July 1781 Alice Mather married John Atherton at St Wilfred, Standish. There appear to be no children (John Atherton from Blackrod who married Betty Edge in 1877 at Deane is another family).
  
  John may have died as in 1784, Alice Atherton married John Scoulcroft at Standish, Lancashire
