Charles' father was Charles Manning and his mother was Elizabeth Harrison. His paternal grandparents were Charles Manning and Emma Edge. He had a sister named Mary. He had an adopted brother named Nesbit. He died at the age of 73 on July 4th, 1963 in Oldham.¹
