General Notes

Samuel Lloyd of Foregate St, Malpas, Chester (54, Innkeeper on 1851 census) was married to Harriet (52, Worcester).  They had 3 children and Hannah Shaw (visitor) and Mary Astle (servant) with them.

Samuel knew Thomas (a brewer) and Robert Hopley, as swore an oath declaring Thomas a legal brother or Robert Hopley for probate. Robert was not his servant.  Robert was described as a "House Proprietor" in 1851, so may have been the proprietor of his Inn. Hampton had the Wheatsheaf and New Inn
