John George Lee

John was born in September 1896 in Minsterley.¹

John's father was John George Lee and his mother was Emily Adams. His paternal grandparents were Ricahrd Lee and Elizabeth Brumbell; his maternal grandparents were William Adams and Sarah Ann Downes. He had a brother and four sisters, named Richard, Millicent, Cicely, Doras and Grace. He was the fifth oldest of the six children.

General Notes
- In 1925, John G Lee, 27, Single Male, Farm Labourer living at the Bath Arms Hotel, travelled from London to Australia on the Bendigo (over 6 weeks on a new H&W steamer, built 1922).
  
  Later, John married Annie Bell Lawson at Gosforth, NSW. In 1949 (after they married), they lived at 14 Croydon Street, Lambton, Shortland.
