Roberta was born in 1924. Roberta's father was Bernard Frank Leat and her mother was Nellie Roberta Davies. Her maternal grandparents were Edmund Thomas Davies and Esther Davies. She had two brothers named Roy and Peter. She was the oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 91 in 2015.
