George Jones (Mather)

George was born in 1846 in Liverpool.¹

George's father was Thomas Mather and his mother was Margaret Jones. His paternal grandparents were James Mather and Jane Patterson. He had three sisters named Ann, Annie and Jane. He was the oldest of the four children.

- In 1851, Geroge Jones (4) was with his unmarried mother. He later took the name Mather, but may not be Thomas Mather's son.
